A Drone's Holiday Vacation

Spike:

I ment the changes of his new life but... he seems to be acting out as if he was a wraith that changed over night. How silly

I guess this is just how he is going to keep coping with the trauma...

"You can eat food, the old fashion way.... How about those cook-"

I stop myself. I'm not 100% sure he is ready to eat his friends.

"How about this cookie.."

I offer my tin to him.

"You can eat one of my allies, its ok they wont mind."

JD:

Spike offers me his own unfortunate cookie crew.

One of them looks like his eyes are drooping off his face, so I consider it a mercy to put him out of his misery.

“Why, thank you!”

I grip the cookie very tightly in my right hand, assuming the nutrients will work their way through my skin as lifeforce used to.

“What is the plan for today, good sir?”

Spike:

JD REALLY gets into his role as a confused wraith to hybird as he squeezes that cookie.

"JD...you cant eat like that you gotta..."

I break off the redheaded cookie and pop the head in my mouth and show him I am chewing it.

"See?"

I wipe my mouth and close the tin leaving the headless body inside.

"Its a natural holiday so I'll be need-"

I stop not wanting to just ..ditch him in the crowds. He is completely unprepared still in the weird drone mode.

"Theres a hive ship you could be stationed at, for a few hours. All you have to do is smile and wave and be.. friendly.. "

JD:

Spike demonstrates the way in which solid food is eaten.

I take off my mask [revealing his gorgeous face of whatever FA actor I end up picking] and attempt to copy. I may have choked on a piece I did not chew properly, but only for a second. My stomach, which had become strangely rumbly overnight, begins to settle.

“Well, that was quite the experience!”

I wonder if this is what it felt like for our Queen when she drank her nutrient teas?

I put my mask back on, and listen as Spike tells me that I can return to a hive ship! I presume he means MY OWN hive ship, since he is an ally to my Queen!

*Gets very excited!   *

“Oh really??? Why of course! If it is to please my Queen, I shall smile with all my might, even if not a soul can see!”
